Camion UK is part of a family owned business, with over 40 years of history. We are based in the Midlands with depots in Birmingham and Burton upon Trent, covering the whole of the Midlands and the surrounding areas. We have extensive knowledge in the emptying and maintaining of septic tanks and cesspools for both domestic and commercial clients.

SEPTIC TANKS

A septic tank system consists of the tank itself and a drainage field or a water course discharge point. Raw sewage is fed to the tank and the settled sewage is discharged into a drainage field.

CESSPOOLS

A cesspool is a watertight tank that is installed underground for the storage of sewage. This tank will have an inlet drain run only. No treatment is involved. The cesspool should be sited at least 15 metres from habitable dwellings, preferably downslope and downwind.

SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANTS

Modern package plants are compact and those plants using the activated sludge process produce less sludge than other treatment methods. Primary settlement can be eliminated and secondary sludge can be stored aerobically for long periods with negligible odour.
